During his 2-day stay in the region, Mr. Behzad
Mohammadi went to see the ongoing activities in Dena, Pars Kimia, Sabalan and
Hengam petrochemicals plants, among others, and learned about their latest
developments.
He also attended a meeting of the executives of a
number of the plants operating in the region to directly hear from them and
their concerns, before heading to the 3rd meeting of public
relations staff of petrochemicals companies.
The first phase of Assaluyeh petrochemical plants
includes 11 petrochemical units with about 22 million tons of petrochemical
production capacity. It is estimated Assaluyeh to turn into one of the largest
petrochemical hubs in the Middle East upon the completion of phase two.
