The nominal petrochemical production capacity of 56 plants across the
country stands at roughly 72 million tons annually. This is while a production
of nearly 62.5 million tons is expected by the end of the current Iranian calendar
year to March 20.
The output of 20 petrochemical facilities located in Mahshahr region,
southwestern Iran, by the end of Shahrivar was 9.57 million.
Moreover, the 16 petrochemical plants operating in Assaluyeh, southern
Iran, supplied an actual production of over 12 .2 million tons during the
period.
Furthermore, the actual output of 20 other petrochemical complexes across
the country was above 5.4 million tons during the period.
A total
of 10.9 mt of products valued at $6.3 was exported during the period.
