Speaking to NIPNA, Hassan Taghavi Ganji, CEO of the
plant, said the company's productivity rose by 20% year-on-year over the course
of the previous calendar year.
The plant supplied 1.3 million tons of PET and polypropylene
last calendar year, he said.
"We have planned to increase our production
by 10% this year," Ghanji added.
He said feedstock supply is the biggest concern
for the facility, adding the problem is that a part of the plant's feedstock
needs to be imported.
Tondgouyan
is the only producer of PET and PP in Iran.
