Akbar Torkan said India, China, Turkey, Iraq,
Afghanistan, Vietnam and Taiwan are the company's regular customers.
The products of the company include benzene,
toluene, isothoizolein, paraxylene, phthalic anhydride, raffinite 1, raffinite
2 and raffinite 3, which are used in downstream industries and for
manufacturing products such as detergents, plastics, synthetic fibers, paints,
adhesives, plasticizers, and all kinds of industrial resins, Torkan said.
Established in 1988, Isfahan Petrochemical
Company is the first producer of aromatic products in Iran, but did not become
operations until 1992.
The plant is fed by Isfahan Refinery, but it
supplies all its utilities including electricity, steam, industrial water and
cooling, nitrogen and instrumentation air, by utility units inside the facility.
The company also has two industrial and sanitary
wastewater treatment units, all of which are recovered after treatment and
control of its chemical and biological parameters, and used for irrigating 85
hectares of greenery beside the facility.
