TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The CEO of Isfahan Petrochemical Plant said his company exports petrochemical goods to seven destinations in a sustainable manner.

Akbar Torkan said India, China, Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam and Taiwan are the company's regular customers.

The products of the company include benzene, toluene, isothoizolein, paraxylene, phthalic anhydride, raffinite 1, raffinite 2 and raffinite 3, which are used in downstream industries and for manufacturing products such as detergents, plastics, synthetic fibers, paints, adhesives, plasticizers, and all kinds of industrial resins, Torkan said.

Established in 1988, Isfahan Petrochemical Company is the first producer of aromatic products in Iran, but did not become operations until 1992.

The plant is fed by Isfahan Refinery, but it supplies all its utilities including electricity, steam, industrial water and cooling, nitrogen and instrumentation air, by utility units inside the facility.

The company also has two industrial and sanitary wastewater treatment units, all of which are recovered after treatment and control of its chemical and biological parameters, and used for irrigating 85 hectares of greenery beside the facility.
