​Iran Earns $800m in Methanol Export since March

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The methanol cargoes exported by Iran during the first 3 quarters of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21 fetched the country 835 million dollars in revenue.

The county exported 31 billion and 640 million dollars of non-oil items during the period, down 2.39% from the same period last year, customs data indicate.

However, export of goods to China rose by 12.76% year-on-year and exports to Iraq rose by only 0.36%.

On the other hand, the country imported a total of $33.8b of goods during the period, the data show.

Gas condensates, liquefied propane, methanol, light oils and products excluding gasoline and iron ore were the biggest exported items by Iran.

Rice, grain, soy beans, automobiles and car parts made most of the imports.
