National
Petrochemical Company (NPC) it to support production of the 13 items by the end
of the 6th five-year development plan to 2022.
To this
effect, NPC is banking on importing the required technical savvy and licenses
from across the globe for production of the items.
The company
has also initiated talks with international leaders in the sector in order to
materialize its goals by 2022.
NPC is
currently in talks with major international energy and chemical leaders
including Total, Technip, Air Liquide, BASF, Linde Group, Mitsui and Sojitz,
Haldor Topsoe, etc.
Iranian
Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh has also voiced his ministry's support for
expanding the industry.
Completion
of propane and butane production chains is one of NPC's key strategies for diversifying
petrochemical output of the country.
