TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Managing Director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Marziyeh Shahdaei is ready to facilitate return of France's petrochemical giant, Axens, in Iran's petrochemical sector.

Speaking during a meeting with Axens CEO Jean Sentenac on the sidelines of the 13 Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF) here in Tehran on Sunday, Shahdaei expressed optimism that the company would be able to resume its activities in petrochemical projects in Iran now that conditions are more favorable for the presence of foreign industrial players in the wake of the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Sentenac also signaled interest in launching state-of-the-art petrochemical facilities in Iran, saying his company has a long history of activities in Iran and has already initiated talks with a number of petrochemical companies for cooperation with them.
He said Axens has been primarily active in offering licenses and providing catalysts to Iranian petrochemical companies.
Axens is an international provider of advanced technologies, catalysts, adsorbents and services, with a global reputation for basic engineering design excellence.
The main scope of Axens' business is focused on the conversion of oil, coal, natural gas and biomass to clean fuels as well as the production and purification of major petrochemical intermediates.
