Speaking to NIPNA, Hossein Shahryari said now that the project has been ceded to the private sector, and provided that things go as planned, the first phase of the facility will come online by next calendar year.
The project was purchased by a number of companies operating at Phase II of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in Assalouyeh, southern Iran. Given the companies' growing need for utilities, construction of the project has gained a considerable impetus.
Phase I of the facility has been financed by IRR 6,000b and will come on-stream by March 2019, Shahryari said.
Once operational the phase will supply 50% of the utilities needed by the plants operating in Assalouyeh's phase II.
