Iran Sells $6.4b of Petchems on Int'l Markets in 9 Months

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Iran's petrochemical exports edged up to 6.4 billion dollars in the first 9 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.

 

Iranian petrochemical companies sold over 15.2 million tons of petrochemicals valued at 6.481 billion dollars during the period. 

Mahshahr, in the southwestern province of Khuzestan, and Assalouyeh, located south of Iran, are two major petrochemical hubs in Iran. 

Noori Petrochemical Plant's exports were valued at $941.858 million in the period making the facility the biggest exporter of petrochemicals in Assalouyeh Petrochemical Zone, southern Iran. 

Zagros Petrochemical Plant, with $591.87m of exports, and Pars Petrochemical Plant, with $549.9m of exports, were the second and third top exporters of the zone. 

Furthermore, Bandar Emem Petrochemical Plant was the biggest exporter in Mahshahr PETZONE by exporting $533m of products to international markets.

Maroon and Laleh petrochemical plants were the second and third biggest exporters of products during the first three quarters of the year.
