Bandar Imam Petchem Plant Exports Hit $456m in 8 Months

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex exported over a million and 200,000 tons of petrochemical products, valued at over $456.6m, in the first 8 month of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.

 

The facility sold over 91,000 tons of products valued at $42m on international markets during the month of Aban (Oct. 20-Nov. 20).

A while ago, Reza Amiri, the facility's managing director, said the plant's output rose by 20% in the first half of the current calendar year from a year earlier.

The company provided 2.5 million tons of products ready for sale. 

The plant is a major supplier of propane, liquefied petroleum gas and butane.

It is also a supplier of light and heavy density polyethylene, SBR, PVC and MTBE.
