Saleh-Ahmadi said the company maintains close ties with
downstream manufacturers, including producers of sheets, switches and sockets,
and measuring equipment, to identify industrial requirements and incorporate
them into research, development and production processes.
The company’s product portfolio comprises around 15 grades
of epoxy resin and polycarbonate alloys, some manufactured to customer
specifications and others produced on a regular basis to meet market demand, he
said.
Saleh-Ahmadi also said Khuzestan Petrochemical had obtained
the necessary permits to produce a medical-grade polycarbonate used in
specialized healthcare applications, including dialysis filters.
The development is intended to help meet the needs of
specialized industries and reduce reliance on imported products in this
segment, he said.
The company has also sought to prevent major supply
disruptions through production planning and operational management, while
maintaining a focus on specialty products.
Sustained domestic production of specialty polymers can help
supply downstream industries, preserve jobs, reduce import dependence and
strengthen the petrochemical value chain, Saleh-Ahmadi said.
