Speaking during a visit to the fourth South Pars refinery, Bovard said
most reconstruction projects were advancing according to plan, although
authorities were seeking to accelerate implementation.
Special meetings are being held for each reconstruction project to
address obstacles and make decisions aimed at speeding up work, he said.
Bovard expressed hope that a significant amount of lost gas production
capacity would be restored by late December.
He said all sectors would need to cooperate to ensure stable gas supplies
during winter, adding that public support and reduced unnecessary energy
consumption would help the industry meet its targets.
Bovard urged households and other consumers to use energy more
efficiently, saying conservation would complement the efforts of oil industry
personnel working at operational sites.
During Tuesday’s visit, accompanied by Bushehr Governor-General Arslan
Zare and Mousa Ahmadi, head of parliament’s Energy Commission, Bovard inspected
damaged South Pars refineries, Jam Petrochemical and Mobin Energy Persian Gulf.
He also visited the third, fourth, fifth and sixth South Pars refineries
to review reconstruction progress and measures to restore damaged facilities,
the Petroleum Ministry’s SHANA news agency reported.
