Bovard said major maintenance at the refineries had been carried out as
scheduled during September and October, with most of the work completed and
facilities prepared for the cold season, according to the Petroleum Ministry’s
SHANA news agency.
Reconstruction of units damaged during attacks on Iran’s energy
infrastructure is progressing alongside development projects, he said, adding
that the government’s priority was to maintain reliable services for consumers
through the winter.
During a visit to the South Pars energy hub in Bushehr province, Bovard
also urged the public to conserve energy and avoid excessive consumption,
saying responsible use of natural gas would help the country manage the
challenges ahead.
He conveyed President Masoud Pezeshkian’s greetings to oil industry
employees and specialists and praised their efforts. Bovard said the visit was
intended both to recognise their work and to assess reconstruction progress
firsthand so that repairs could be completed more quickly.
