ASALUYEH, Iran, Oct. 13 (NIPNA) — Iran’s Acting Petroleum Minister Hamid Bovard is inspecting reconstruction work at damaged South Pars energy facilities to accelerate the recovery of lost production capacity and ensure reliable natural gas supplies ahead of winter, the Petroleum Ministry’s SHANA news agency reported on Tuesday.

Bovard’s visit to the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone is his first operational trip since taking over as acting minister. The visit focuses on assessing reconstruction progress, identifying obstacles and following up on measures needed to complete repairs and restore damaged facilities to service.

Several Iranian gas processing plants in the South Pars region were damaged in attacks during what Iranian officials call the “Third Imposed War,” reducing the country’s gas processing and production capacity.

The Oil Ministry has mobilised technical and operational resources to rebuild the affected facilities and restore lost capacity, with particular emphasis on maintaining gas supplies as temperatures fall and demand rises.

Bovard is also scheduled to visit petrochemical facilities and attend a meeting to assess reconstruction across South Pars energy infrastructure, SHANA reported.
