Minister Abbas Aliabadi as part of field visits to southern industrial zones
targeted in the conflict. Jam Petrochemical is one of Iran’s largest and most
strategically important petrochemical producers, supplying feedstock to
multiple downstream complexes across the country.
“Jam Petrochemical is among the most significant petrochemical
facilities not only in Iran but in the region and globally,” Ghaem Panah said
on the sidelines of the visit. “It is a key part of the country’s oil industry
infrastructure that came under enemy attack.”
Reconstruction work began immediately after the fire from the strike
was brought under control, with the aim of restoring full production as quickly
as possible, he added.
The visit underscores Tehran’s push to safeguard and revive critical
energy infrastructure amid ongoing regional tensions. Jam Petrochemical plays a
central role in Iran’s petrochemical export chain, which ranks among the
country’s top sources of non-oil foreign revenue.
