The healthcare expansion plans were announced on Tuesday by Zhabiz
Rahimzadeh, Deputy for Health, Hygiene, and Treatment at the fund.
Strategic Healthcare Priorities
According to Rahimzadeh, maintaining the health and well-being of
retired energy sector personnel ranks as a core strategic priority alongside
the fund's monthly pension obligations. The healthcare unit accounts for a
substantial share of total fund operations and continues to deliver
uninterrupted services across its nationwide networks.
"The current programs focus on enhancing service quality,
facilitating access, and improving operational accuracy while ensuring
long-term institutional sustainability," Rahimzadeh stated.
Key Operational Initiatives
The deputy outlined several priority areas being pursued to upgrade
the fund's healthcare ecosystem:
- Accelerated
Reimbursements: Reducing processing times for medical
expense reimbursements to retirees and their dependents.
- Network
Expansion: Continuously evaluating and adding
contracted medical centers and hospitals to broaden geographic coverage.
- Digital
Integration: Expanding electronic services and
leveraging modern technology to simplify administrative claims and
record-keeping.
- Institutional
Coordination: Strengthening professional ties with the
Petroleum Industry Health Organization and refining financial relations
with corporate employers across the oil sector.
The initiatives reflect broader effort across Iran's energy sector to
modernize administrative processes and ensure social safety nets for former
industrial workforces.
