The comprehensive support effort was organized under directives from
Minister of Petroleum Mohsen Paknejad, involving all four primary state oil
subsidiaries alongside ministerial mobilization centers.
Multi-City Logistical Deployment
Preparations for the public gatherings began approximately four weeks
prior to the ceremonies to coordinate municipal support and public service
hubs. According to Hassan Mohammadian, cultural coordinator for the ministry's
Basij center, the ministry prioritized uninterrupted service delivery to
visiting delegations and members of the public.
The logistical response included several key operations:
- Central
Hospitality Hubs: A primary service station was established
on Mofatteh Street in Tehran, offering temporary rest facilities
specifically tailored for mothers and children.
- 24/7
Medical Care: In coordination with the Petroleum Industry
Health Organization, round-the-clock emergency medical services were
provided at central hubs along the procession routes.
- Intercity
Visitor Housing: Subsidiary energy firms arranged dedicated
accommodations to house attendees traveling from secondary provinces.
- Regional
Support in Mashhad: Ministry task forces and its four main
operating companies set up additional support stations across Mashhad to
accommodate crowds during the final burial proceedings at the Imam Reza
Shrine.
Institutional Coordination
The support effort drew direct operational contributions from across
the state energy apparatus, including the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC),
the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), the National Petrochemical Company
(NPC), and the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC).
Mohammadian noted that energy sector personnel maintained a dual
mandate throughout the period—sustaining core fuel distribution across national
networks despite recent geopolitical strains while simultaneously executing
large-scale public support operations.
