The project follows an incident on April 15, 2026, which damaged parts
of the company’s power infrastructure. Company representatives said the first
phase of recovery was completed in less than 15 days, restoring a portion of
operational capacity and ensuring continued energy supply stability for
industrial users in the region.
According to the project manager for reconstruction, the company’s
strategy is structured across short-, medium-, and long-term phases. The
short-term phase focused on rapid restoration of available units, while the next
stages include repair and rehabilitation of damaged turbines and generators in
two power plant zones, alongside the development of new combined-cycle
facilities.
Planned capacity includes 1,600 megawatts in Zone Two and 1,000
megawatts in Zone One. The reconstruction roadmap also involves parallel
engineering and design work for new power plants to replace lost capacity and
support expansion.
Company officials said major site preparation, debris removal, and
unit recovery operations are underway, with technical teams working
continuously on implementation.
The first phase of returning gas-fired units to service is expected
within approximately one year, while completion of new combined-cycle plants is
scheduled over a 22-month timeframe.
The expansion is aimed at strengthening energy supply reliability for
industrial consumers in Iran’s petrochemical economic zone, according to the
company.
