The measures were outlined during the “Energy Mondays” event held
under the framework of the Nabz Energy campaign, which aims to connect
energy-efficiency awareness with broader social responsibility initiatives.
According to organizers, approximately 600 million tomans ($) was
allocated through charitable organizations to facilitate the release of six
incarcerated mothers held for financial-related liabilities in the provinces of
Mazandaran, Gilan, and Golestan.
As part of the campaign’s social support activities, 60 wheelchairs
were provided through Tehran Province Gas Company for distribution among
beneficiaries supported by the provincial welfare organization. An additional
25 wheelchairs designed for children with disabilities were delivered through
Isfahan Province Gas Company for allocation to children awaiting assistance.
The initiative also directed support toward an environmental
conservation project focused on the protection of the Isfahan tooth-carp fish,
a native species regarded as important to the country’s biodiversity. Funding
was provided in response to a request from the Rooyesh Sarzamin Omid Institute.
Organizers further announced the preparation of nine dowry assistance
packages for low-income couples, including three packages each for recipients
in Mazandaran, Gilan, and Golestan provinces.
The event also included the presentation of two cash awards of one
billion tomans each to campaign participants, while a third award was scheduled
for distribution in Mazandaran Province.
Campaign organizers said the initiative seeks to demonstrate that
responsible energy consumption can extend beyond economic and environmental
benefits by supporting charitable and community-focused programs. The campaign
aims to encourage broader public participation in energy conservation while
contributing to social welfare and environmental protection efforts.
