Hassan Abbaszadeh, Deputy Petroleum Minister and CEO of the National
Petrochemical Company (NPC), said production recovery is progressing based on
priority-setting mechanisms defined by the company, with cleanup and
restoration work ongoing at impacted complexes.
He noted that operational restart has been supported by access to
electricity from the national grid and the use of distributed energy sources,
including steam-generating units, which has helped accelerate the return of
plants to production.
Abbaszadeh said cleanup operations remain underway, while
reconstruction activities have entered an operational phase. He emphasized that
industrial recovery processes require careful adherence to safety standards to
balance speed with operational precision and maximize the use of available
damaged equipment.
He added that some petrochemical plants have already resumed
production, while others are expected to return gradually as recovery work
progresses.
Parallel reconstruction efforts are also ongoing at additional
complexes that sustained more significant damage from recent industrial
disruptions, with restoration timelines expected to be longer due to the scope
of required repairs.
