Masoud Rahimi, Director General of Inspection, Performance Monitoring
and Complaints Handling at the ministry, said the project was launched
following directives from the petroleum minister aimed at improving the speed
and accuracy of reviewing requests and complaints submitted by both citizens
and ministry personnel.
“The executive process for establishing the integrated inspection,
performance monitoring and complaints handling system began about a year ago
and the platform is scheduled to become operational in June,” Rahimi said
during a visit by officials from the presidential public communications and
complaints office.
According to Rahimi, the initiative is designed to improve
coordination between internal and external complaint review mechanisms while
enhancing high-level supervisory oversight across Iran’s oil industry.
The remarks were delivered during a tour of the Ministry of
Petroleum’s public complaints and in-person consultation office, which
officials said was established through cooperation between the ministry’s
inspection department and supporting administrative units.
During the visit, representatives from the presidential public
communications office praised oversight and inspection personnel in the oil
sector for their efforts during the Iran-Iraq war period and called for closer
interagency cooperation in the field of smart regulatory monitoring.
The new system is expected to centralize complaint registration and
tracking procedures across the ministry and its affiliated entities, part of
broader efforts to modernize administrative governance in Iran’s energy sector.
Key institutions involved in the initiative include Ministry of
Petroleum of Iran and National Petrochemical Company (NPC).
