Speaking at a
meeting with senior management of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Paknejad
stated that the resistance of the Iranian people against what he described as
the “savage onslaught of the Zionist-American enemy” had exceeded expectations.
He lauded the
operational teams of the National Oil, Gas, Refining and Distribution, and
Petrochemical companies for their sacrifices in ensuring public needs were met
throughout the conflict.
“The oil industry
faces a more complex mission in the post-war period for the reconstruction of
damaged centers,” Paknejad said.
He highlighted
that despite hostile actions and enemy pressure, there was no disruption in
fuel supply or meeting public needs, and that oil exports continued unabated
due to the efforts of the operational staff.
Paknejad announced
that the ministry is committed to commencing the reconstruction of four gas
refineries as soon as possible.
He also noted
that repairing and rebuilding other facilities damaged by the “American-Zionist
enemy attack” are among the ministry’s top priorities for the current year.
During the
meeting, NIOC CEO Hamid Bovard reported on the company’s successful navigation
of the conflict, attributing it to effective management and crisis response,
including daily technical meetings and adherence to non-disclosure protocols
for defensive reasons.
Abbas Asadruz,
CEO of Iran Oil Terminals Company, provided a remote report from Kharg Island,
affirming the continuity of crude oil exports despite repeated bombings, thanks
to the resilience of the operational staff.
Senior officials
also presented reports on damaged sites and emphasized the importance of
ongoing crisis management and technical committee meetings, as well as focusing
on operational efficiency and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) matters.
Discussions also covered increasing production, field exploration, and the
situation at the Kharg Island export terminal.
