TEHRAN, March 19 (NIPNA) — Iran’s Minister of Petroleum extended congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and the ancient Persian New Year, Nowruz, for the year 1405 (beginning March 21, 2026), noting the auspicious convergence of these celebrations with the anniversary of the nationalisation of the oil industry.

In a message, Mohsen Paknejad acknowledged the sacrifices and dedication of the oil industry workforce, describing them as being at the forefront of economic service and struggle.

He stated that in the most challenging circumstances, they have demonstrated that service is the most beautiful form of worship.

The message highlighted the significance of the current period, marked by the confluence of spring, the holy month of Ramadan (leading to Eid al-Fitr), and the anniversary of oil nationalisation on March 18. It also alluded to a period of mourning for a “martyred leader” and other high-ranking military and state officials, suggesting recent national tragedies.

Paknejad praised the historical resilience and solidarity of the Iranian people against foreign aggressors, emphasizing how this strength, combined with the power of the nation’s military forces, heralds great victories.

He specifically addressed the employees of the oil industry as “sincere children of this land” who have proven their commitment in the face of adversity.

The minister expressed gratitude to his colleagues across all sectors of the oil industry and wished them acceptance of their devotions.

He concluded by reiterating his hopes for the glory, pride, and victory of Islamic Iran in all aspects, particularly in its “struggle against the American-Zionist enemy.”
