TEHRAN, March 7 (NIPNA) – Iran's Minister of Petroleum, Mohsen Paknejad, has declared the allegiance of the nation's oil industry to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei following his selection as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

In a message issued on Monday, Paknejad congratulated the selection of Khamenei by the esteemed representatives of the Assembly of Experts. He stated that "all managers, staff, and the great family of the oil industry, while pledging allegiance to the ideals of the Founding Father (Imam Khomeini) and the martyred Imam, announce their pledge of allegiance to His Eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution."

The message further emphasized that the "great and national oil industry of Iran, shoulder-to-shoulder with other powers, institutions, and pillars of the government, under His Eminence's supreme leadership, will utilize its full capacity to remain steadfast and unwavering in the path of realizing the ideals of the Islamic Revolution."

Paknejad expressed conviction that through patience, resilience, and revolutionary jihad, and under the protection of reliance on Almighty God and the intercession of the infallible Imams, as well as the wise leadership of the present-day Velayat-e Faqih (Guardian Jurist), the oil sector will "defend and protect the precious heritage of independence, freedom, and the Islamic Republic until death," especially as "aggressive, malicious, and bloodthirsty enemies entertain the futile dream of dominating beloved Iran."
