Energy Minister Praises Petchem Innovations

MAHSHAHR, Feb. 18 (NIPNA) – Iran’s energy minister praised the innovative efforts of a key petrochemical firm on Wednesday, signaling a new phase of collaboration to address the country's energy imbalances and support infrastructure development.


Abbas Aliabadi, accompanied by Khuzestan province's governor, the Friday prayer leader of Bandar Mahshahr, the local county head and a parliamentary representative, toured Fajr Energy Persian Gulf Company's facilities in the special economic petrochemical zone.

During the visit to the company's Zone 2 complex, Aliabadi was briefed on ongoing operations, expansion plans and novel initiatives. He engaged with managers on joint efforts to mitigate national energy shortfalls and the firm's potential entry into the energy stock exchange.

Highlighting the expertise of domestic specialists and the company's strong performance in energy production and supply, Aliabadi commended Fajr Energy's actions and innovative schemes, pledging continued ministry backing for its growth programs.

The inspection aimed to bolster ties between Fajr Energy and the energy ministry, assess industrial capabilities and advance energy infrastructure in Bandar Mahshahr's petrochemical hub.
