Mousa Ahmadi, head of the energy commission, made the remarks during a
visit to the SPD3A offshore platform at the South Pars gas field, accompanying Petroleum
Minister Mohsen Paknejad, according to Shana.
“Last year, in November and December, there were challenges in
supplying fuel to gas-fired power plants. Thanks to careful planning, liquid
fuel reserves for power plants are now in a suitable state,” Ahmadi said.
He praised the operational staff of the National Iranian Oil Company
for their efforts in ensuring energy supply and highlighted the commission’s
ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum to monitor and support
sustainable energy provision.
Ahmadi also said the minister’s presence on South Pars platforms
reflects attention to the workforce, including issues such as salaries, technical
challenges, and social concerns, and helps provide psychological reassurance
for staff in the energy sector.
