Mohammad Kermani visited the Oil Industry Technology and Innovation
Park on Thursday alongside senior company officials, touring production lines
and laboratories at the Catalyst Development and Investment Company.
“Achieving the technical knowledge to produce complex catalysts
domestically reflects the scientific maturity of our specialists,” Kermani
said. He added that continuing production of such high-value products reduces
reliance on foreign resources and supports sustainable industrial output.
The visit highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation
between research teams in catalysis and polymer sciences, with plans for joint
technical workshops and a comprehensive strategic program to address national
research and technology needs.
Kermani emphasized the role of technology parks in fostering
innovation, attracting talent, and facilitating domestic development of
advanced technologies. “Collaboration between research experts and innovation
hubs can enhance technical knowledge, promote industrial entrepreneurship,
create new employment opportunities, and generate significant added value for
the petrochemical, oil, gas, and refining industries,” he said.
The visit underscores Iran’s push to bolster knowledge-based
industries and strengthen domestic technological capabilities within its key
petrochemical sector.
