Sayali Imolaev, speaking on the sidelines of the
19th IranPlast International Exhibition in Tehran, said a seven-member
delegation from Tajikistan had traveled to the event to assess Iran’s plastics
and polymer market and hold talks with local firms.
“This is my first time at IranPlast, and the
progress of Iranian companies in plastics is impressive,” he said. “We hope
that by the end of the four-day exhibition, negotiations with Iranian partners
will lead to constructive results.”
Imolaev noted that the delegation is particularly
evaluating production equipment for potential purchases and said his group
already cooperates with Iranian partners in the construction sector in Mashhad.
“We hope these collaborations will expand into other areas,” he added.
The 19th edition of IranPlast, inaugurated Monday
at Tehran’s International Permanent Fairground by National Petrochemical
Company (NPC) Managing Director Hassan Abbaszadeh alongside senior oil and
petrochemical executives, will run through September 11.
