Speaking to NIPNA, Tahmasbi noted that the
products showcased annually at IranPlast reflect the industry’s potential to
increase employment, reduce reliance on foreign materials, and strengthen
domestic production.
He emphasized the importance of a proactive
management approach, stating, “With a dedicated and action-oriented strategy,
the petrochemical sector can achieve significant progress in a shorter period,
delivering greater results.”
Tahmasbi also highlighted the role of research
institutions and universities collaborating with the Petroleum Industry
Research Institute. “By giving researchers and specialized professionals more
opportunities to contribute, Iran can become an exporter of high-quality
petrochemical services,” he said.
On regulatory matters, he added that establishing
a dedicated regulatory framework is crucial, with the government providing
oversight while ensuring the private sector has the freedom to expand and
innovate.
