The project, financed with 11 billion rials by the company and
executed by the Mahshahr municipality, connects Petrochemical Street to the
Mahshahr ring road. The inauguration ceremony was attended by local officials
including the city’s mayor, members of the city council, the governor, and the
representative of Mahshahr in parliament.
“Investing in projects that directly benefit citizens is a key aspect
of our social responsibility,” said Sepahdar Ansarinik, BIPC CEO.
He added that the overpass is a practical example of the company’s
commitment to improving urban infrastructure.
Local leaders praised the initiative as a model for industry-community
collaboration. Hojjatoleslam Salamatnejad, Mahshahr’s Friday prayer leader,
highlighted the company’s impactful social projects, while the city council
president called the overpass a symbol of the link between industry and
society.
The project is expected to ease traffic congestion, particularly
during the school year, and provide safer, more efficient routes for both
citizens and company transport services.
