“The exhibition, where petrochemical companies showcase their
achievements, products and capabilities, is a clear reflection of the
industry’s vibrancy and the strength of domestic production,” lawmaker Ramazan
Ali Sangdovini told NIPNA.
He stressed the need to support the petrochemical industry as a driver
of Iran’s economy, adding that its robustness has allowed it to withstand
sanctions pressure. “The expectation from this sector is precisely such
resilience, stability and vitality,” he said.
Sangdovini also underlined the importance of international engagement
in the petrochemical sphere, saying that interaction with foreign players not
only accelerates the industry’s own growth but also contributes to the
development of other industrial sectors.
He noted that the commissioning of multiple new petrochemical projects
in recent years demonstrates the coherence and dynamism of the sector, which is
playing an increasingly central role in Iran’s economic development.
“IranPlast is without doubt the country’s most important petrochemical
event,” the lawmaker said. “With the participation of both domestic and
international companies, the exhibition offers a valuable platform for
expanding business ties and boosting downstream activities.”
