According to the company’s public relations office, the achievement is
the result of strategic investment and targeted planning under the “New Bandar
Imam” transformation initiative. The 7000F grade was developed at the Besparan
production unit and is considered one of the highest-quality heavy polyethylene
grades, with properties suited to advanced packaging, hygiene, and agricultural
applications.
Advanced Reactor Modifications and Infrastructure Upgrade
The project involved a significant overhaul of the polymer reactor
systems, shifting from a parallel to a series configuration. New
infrastructure, including butene storage tanks and injection lines, was also
installed to support the production of this specialty grade.
Industry experts say the new grade offers superior performance
characteristics, such as high film strength and thinness, making it highly
competitive in both domestic and international markets.
Boosting National Self-Sufficiency and Export Potential
The quality of the locally produced 7000F is reported to exceed that
of comparable foreign products. Officials see this as a critical step toward
reducing dependence on imported polymers and strengthening Iran’s position in
regional markets such as Iraq and Turkey.
“This breakthrough aligns with our national goal of self-reliance and
opens the door for targeted exports,” the company said in a statement.
The development is expected to reduce Iran’s reliance on strategic
polymer imports, while enhancing its capability to meet growing domestic and
regional demand.
