The advanced unit—successfully designed, constructed, and installed by
Iranian specialists—was formally delivered to the Petrochemical Terminals and
Tanks Company (PTTC) in Asaluyeh, southern Iran.
The loading arm, now operational at Berth 17 of the Pars Petrochemical
Port, enables the safe and controlled transfer of ultra-cold liquids such as
liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquid oxygen, and liquid nitrogen between ships
and onshore facilities.
Following multiple successful trial operations, the arm has been fully
handed over to the terminal operator. The project is seen as a strategic
achievement in strengthening Iran's technical self-sufficiency in the face of
international restrictions.
The development aligns with broader national efforts to boost local
content and reduce reliance on imported industrial components across the energy
sector.
