In a joint meeting held Sunday, Saeed Torkaman, Chairman of
the Association’s Board of Directors, and Morteza Ehsani, Head of the
Institute, discussed new avenues for academic-industry cooperation. Key
outcomes included plans to align graduate theses and doctoral dissertations
with real-world industry needs, establish a skills training and career guidance
center, and utilize tax credit opportunities for member companies through
partnership with the institute.
The two sides emphasized the necessity of joint efforts in
producing forward-looking scientific content for the polymer industry. A formal
memorandum of understanding will be drafted to define the framework for this
collaboration.
Additionally, the meeting outlined plans to implement a
technical rating system for the polymer industry in cooperation with the
research institute.
Several directors and experts from the institute attended
the meeting, including Dr. Behzadnasab, Dr. Salimi, Dr. Ali Bakhshi, Dr. Ahmadi,
and Ms. Arshadi. The session aimed to leverage shared capacities and create a
foundation for effective interaction between industry stakeholders and the
academic sector.
