In a statement, the company’s public relations office confirmed that a
small leak took place at the outlet of the ammonia unit’s pump leading to a
storage tank. The leak was promptly addressed by operations staff and the
site’s fire response team.
“The area was immediately secured, cleaned, and returned to safe
conditions,” the statement said.
The company emphasized that all operations at Hengam Petrochemical are
continuing as normal and there is no threat to workers or the surrounding
environment.
