During a visit to Sistan and Baluchestan Province on Wednesday, IRNA
Managing Director Mohammad Jabbari Ansari toured the Makran Petrochemical Zone
located in the Chabahar Free Trade-Industrial Zone, describing it as the
country’s emerging third petrochemical hub.
Accompanied by regional officials and IRNA’s provincial bureau chief,
Jabbari Ansari visited key development sites including the infrastructure
projects spearheaded by Negin Makran Petrochemical Development Company. He was
briefed on the zone’s strategic advantages, comprehensive planning, and current
progress on both industrial and non-industrial infrastructure.
The IRNA chief, a former diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
also inspected ongoing projects by Kimia Sanat Mabna Petrochemical Complex.
"I am proud to witness this national project firsthand. The
Makran Petrochemical Zone is a model of industrial development aligned with
environmental commitments — something rarely implemented effectively in the
past," Jabbari Ansari said in remarks to reporters. “This initiative has
the potential to serve as a development blueprint not only for other domestic
industries but also internationally.”
He stressed the responsibility of media, and IRNA in particular, to
showcase the realities and advancements of Iran through accurate and strategic
reporting.
Jabbari Ansari expressed admiration for the dedication of Iranian
engineers and workers involved in the project and reaffirmed the agency’s
commitment to amplifying their achievements. “We are deeply impressed by the
scale and environmental foresight of the efforts underway. We will support
these initiatives in becoming an industrial benchmark.”
Concluding his visit, he voiced hope for renewed global engagement and
economic momentum, stating: “With improved international conditions, we may
soon witness the Iranian phoenix rising in the industrial and economic arenas.”
