BANDAR IMAM (NIPNA) – Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company (BIPC) has received 3.5 million tons of various feedstocks in 2024 (1403), marking the highest volume in seven years and reflecting a more than 50% increase compared to 2021 (1400), according to the company’s Public Relations Office.

This achievement is a key milestone in the implementation of the “New Bandar Imam” development strategy, where the sustainable stabilization of feedstock supply plays a critical role.

NGL Feedstock Doubled

One of the most notable gains was recorded in NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) supply, which increased from 40,000 barrels per day in 2021 to over 80,000 barrels per day in 2024, totaling 2.5 million tons of NGL for the year. This volume sets a new record in the past seven years and significantly boosts the company’s overall production.

Strategic Investments Enabled Growth

The rise in feedstock supply was made possible by strategic planning and targeted investments, including:

·         Over IRR 5,000 billion in maintenance and spare part procurement from South Oil-Rich Regions’ NGL units

·         A USD 1 billion investment in the Haweizeh Gas Refinery

·         EUR 65 million injection into the Dehloran Petro-Refining Project

Production Hits 6-Year Peak

Thanks to this increase in feedstock, BIPC recorded a total production of approximately 4.87 million tons in 2024, representing the highest output in six years and a 36% increase compared to 2021. This growth marks a major step towards realizing the company’s long-term production objectives.
