NPC CEO Emphasizes Role of Inspection Units in Safeguarding Investments

TEHRAN (NIPNA) - Deputy Petroleum Minister and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company emphasized the crucial role of inspection units in the petrochemical industry in fostering convergence and cooperation among various stakeholders, stating that these units are guardians of people's investments.

Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the Petrochemical Holding Companies Inspection Council on Sunday, Morteza Shahmirzai, Deputy Petroleum Minister and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, highlighted the significance of inspection in petrochemical complexes and projects, stating that these units must meticulously monitor the ongoing activities of their respective companies.

"These inspection units should serve as custodians of people's investments within petrochemical holdings," Shahmirzai said.

He further elaborated on the pivotal role of the National Petrochemical Company's inspection affairs in promoting cohesion and collaboration among different industry sectors, emphasizing the need for these units to prioritize domestic production and support for domestic manufacturing processes, as utilizing internal resources for the development of the petrochemical industry is a source of national pride.

"The inspection units serve as both executive and advisory arms to the CEOs of petrochemical holdings and companies," Shahmirzai noted, stressing the importance of these units in overseeing production processes and protecting the interests of the petrochemical industry.

Furthermore, Shahmirzai stated that the Chief Inspector overseeing petrochemical affairs monitors industry activities and current issues, while petrochemical holdings and companies can address additional concerns to the respected representative of the country's Inspection Organization in addition to the inspection affairs of the National Petrochemical Company.

In this meeting, the Head of Inspection and Complaints Response Affairs of the National Petrochemical Company also highlighted the importance of continuing specialized meetings of inspection managers to enhance cooperation and convergence in the petrochemical industry, presenting a report on current activities.
