CEO Stresses Long-Term Profitability, Higher Efficiency Through Petchem CSR

MAKRAN (NIPNA) -- The Deputy Minister of Petroleum and the CEO of the National Petrochemical Company highlighted the importance of fulfilling social responsibilities by petrochemical companies, stating that it not only fosters sustainable development but also ensures long-term profitability and higher efficiency.

The inaugural meeting of the Strategic Council of Petrochemical Companies in the Makran region was convened with the presence of the Deputy Minister and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company.

Morteza Shahmirzaei emphasized that one of the strategic goals of the National Petrochemical Company is to create shared value with society through the petrochemical industry. He noted, "Fulfilling social responsibilities not only does not increase the costs of petrochemical companies but also provides the groundwork for sustainable development, long-term profitability, and higher efficiency."

He added, "Social responsibilities in the petrochemical industry are a profitable and successful investment," stressing the need to simultaneously develop the surrounding environments and local communities in areas where the petrochemical industry is expanding and accelerating the implementation of various projects.

The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company highlighted the importance of implementing the directives of the Supreme Leader to foster hope in society. He stated, "Fulfilling social responsibilities by the pioneers of the petrochemical industry reflects the level of balanced and sustainable development in the country."

He further emphasized that in regions with active industrial complexes, social initiatives should aim to provide the community with various infrastructure facilities, healthcare, cultural, educational, and sports services so that the people of that community feel ownership of the industrial complex.
