BANDAR MAHSHAHR (NIPNA) -- Emphasizing the ongoing security and stability in the petrochemical industry, the Deputy Minister of Petroleum and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company announced that over 100 petrochemical projects, focusing on sea-based development, will be constructed from the Persian Gulf coast to the Sea of Oman.

During a visit to the emergency conditions maneuver in the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone on March 11th, Morteza Shahmirzaei, Deputy Minister of Petroleum and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, stated, "The Special Economic Zone for Petrochemicals and other relevant entities have jointly created a secure regional environment for long-term and sustainable production."

He added, "Iran's economic land from the northern Persian Gulf coast to the Sea of Oman is one of the safest and most cost-effective industrial and economic regions in the world for petrochemical investment."

Referring to the vast hydrocarbon reserves bestowed by God upon this land, he said, "The skilled and dedicated human resources in the petrochemical industry are the true guardians of domestic and foreign investors' assets."

The Deputy Minister of Petroleum identified sufficient feedstock and appropriate pricing as key pillars for investment in Iran's petrochemical industry, emphasizing, "Today, over 85 to 90 percent of the goods and equipment required by the petrochemical industry are produced by Iranian manufacturers and producers at a global standard in the country, which has made it easier for investors to enter this sector."

During a one-day trip, Shahmirzaei, along with the Deputy Minister of Petroleum, visited the Mahshahr Special Economic Zone, commending petrochemical companies during the National Clean Air Conference, including Petrochemical PetroNad Asia, Polymer Donation, Koroush Petrochemical, Hirsapolimer, Palm Asmari Petrochemical, and Petro Pack.
