TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The secretary of the 10th Petrochemical Industry Excellence Award, highlighting a 73% increase in assessors in 2024 from 151 to 261 assessors compared to last year, stated: “The participation of companies in the Excellence Award process has increased from 39 companies in 2023 to 67 companies in 2024, of which 38 were in production and services.”

Hadi Shayegh, addressing the 10th Petrochemical Industry Excellence Award, elaborated on the performance report of the secretariat of the 10th edition of the Petrochemical Industry Excellence Award, stating: “The development policies of the petrochemical industry are formulated based on the strategic keywords of the Supreme Leader's naming in previous years.”

He said that holding specialized training courses, calibrating assessors and excellence managers, excellence tours based on the 2020 editions of EFQM and CPM3, establishing technical working groups to review and validate the results of evaluations of applicant companies, and selecting the best ones based on sustainable production obstacle removal actions have been among the executive measures in the process of the 10th edition of the Petrochemical Industry Excellence Award.

The secretary of the 10th Petrochemical Industry Excellence Award continued: “Attracting investment, preventing crude sales, collecting flared gases, consumption management, industrial automation, product quality improvement, and completing the value chain are among the issues that have been considered in the evaluation of companies.”

The 10th Petrochemical Industry Excellence Award, attended by Seyyed Soltan Mortazavi, Minister of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare, Morteza Shahmirzai, CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, Vahidreza Zeydifar, Deputy Minister of Engineering, Research, and Technology of the Ministry of Petroleum, Abdolhossein Bayat, Chairman of the Boards of Directors of Oil Industry Pension Funds, Abdolali Ali-Askari, CEO of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), and Babak Afghahi, CEO of Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Investment Company (Tamin), was held with the slogan "Production Growth with a Focus on Strengthening the Supply Chain" at the International Conference Center of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), and the winners of this edition were honored.
