Iran Petchem Plants Prevent Flaring 50 mcf APG

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company's experts, through the repair of silencers in the pressure boosting unit of Gachsaran 2, have prevented the burning of 50 million cubic meters of associated petroleum gases (APG).

According to Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company, this environmental achievement, which also led to an increase in the feedstock of the complex, aimed to boost the feedstock of liquefied gas after the company's feedstock department visited the "Dasht-e Gaz" pressure boosting station.

During this operation, which will add 5,000 barrels of liquefied gas feedstock to Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company daily, the exhaust silencers of the turbines at this station, including 9 mobile silencers and 80 fixed silencers, were repaired and operated by the experts of the maintenance and production support management of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company.

These repairs cost approximately 60 billion Iranian Rials.
