According to DOE, on Sunday, Javad Owji attended a
joint meeting with the head and deputies of DOE, emphasizing the important
duties and responsibilities of the Ministry of Petroleum in sustainable energy
supply and wealth creation in the current situation.
He pointed out the high importance of
environmental requirements in oil industry projects.
Also in the meeting, Mazaher Ansari, the Director
General of Health, Safety and Environment of the Ministry of Petroleum, considered
the protection of the environment as one of the fundamental priorities of the
oil industry, and the attention to environmental laws and regulations is integral
to the development of oil industry projects.
He also called for interaction and synergy
between the Ministry of Petroleum and DOE in order to overcome the
implementation problems and obstacles, including the issuance of environmental
permits for oil industry projects.
