Mohsen Rezaei told
reporters today (Monday, May 16) on the sidelines of the 26th Iran International
Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition that it is impossible to
generate wealth by selling raw materials: "We must produce 100% of our
needs ourselves and be self-sufficient in innovations as well.”
He added: "The
International Oil Exhibition has the advantage of introducing the country's
technical progress (in the field of oil), and since knowledge is gained in this
regard, we will accelerate in industrialization."
The Vice President for
Economic Affairs said: "Fortunately, what can be seen here is that good
innovations have emerged in both upstream and downstream industries. Of course,
we are at the beginning of the road and we hope that industrialization will be
accelerated in the coming years so that we can increase our wealth."
