According
to Bu Ali Sina Petrochemical Company, Alireza Ghasemi, the plant’s director of production,
said: “In the first 6 months of this [calendar] year, the heavy cut product of
naphtha, with a production of nearly 262,000 tons, achieved 136% of the
production plan and compared to the same period last year, production of the
item has risen by 76% year-on-year.”
He
added: "Following the record-breaking in this subsidiary of the Persian
Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), production of benzene, as a
strategic item, was once again accompanied by a stunning increase in production
and realization of 130% of the production plan in the first 6 months of the
year, reaching 54,000 tons, which means the country is free from imports of the
item. Of course, the export of this product is valuable and creates another
value for the country.”
The
head of the company's operations continued: "The efforts of employees in
various departments have led to a 76 percent increase in liquefied petroleum
gas output of the plant compared to the same period last year and a 106 percent
increase in naphtha light cut products in this period."
