Speaking to NIPNA, Marzieh Tahmasebi said the high density polyethylene
required by downstream petrochemical industries is being produced and supplied
by other petrochemical complexes, and Maroon Petrochemical Plant, which was
forced to stop production due to emergency repairs, has been operating since Monday
morning.
Announcing the preparedness of petrochemical complexes to
provide the grades needed by downstream industries for production of various
polymer and chemical products, she added: "Protecting the interests of
real producers and consumers of petrochemical products is always considered as
a strategy by the Office of Downstream Industries."
Maroon Petrochemical Company is designed to produce 300,000
tons of high density polyethylene annually. The facility has the ability to
produce 21 different grades of HDPE, whose valuable products are for making
various boxes, bottles, cosmetics, oil containers, elastic films, high-strength
fibers, cable insulation, high pressure pipes and various types of packaging
films.
