The event started virtually on Wednesday morning, October
21, and in two days will hold 8 panels on topics such as the problems of
complementary industries, problems and needs of the petrochemical industry,
exports as one of the most important concerns in the country and industry, the
future research of masterbatch and compound industry, innovations, additives
and finally the issues related to machinery and peripherals of the compounding
industry.
At the opening ceremony of the conference, Bahman Eshghi,
Secretary General of the Tehran Chamber, explained the current economic
problems in the country, and said: "In addition to international sanctions
and lack of economic planning, we face the problem of the coronavirus outbreak
that disrupts the global economy."
He said Iran is in transition economically and if the
possibilities arise, it could provide the means for a leap in the industry.
The Secretary General of the Tehran Chamber continued:
"In the coming years, we will enter a stage where economic growth will be
commensurate with the development of Iran and a bright future for the country's
economy is conceivable."
He added: "Today, the society has come to the
conclusion that science is the cause of salvation and the means of development
of the country."
