Iran Self-Sufficient In Production of Black Veil

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Tondgouyan Petrochemical Plant has launched a new production line which renders Iran self-sufficient in production of the polymer used for production of black veil used by Muslim women.

Simultaneously with the launch of the TG670S grade for black veil production in the plant, 28,000 to 30,000 tons of the country's annual needs for this grade for production of black veil will be met and the country will no longer need to import the item.

According to the public relations and international affairs office of Tondgouyan Petrochemical Company, a ceremony was held at the facility the presence of Jafar Rabiee, CEO of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), to launch the production line on Monday, July 6, 2020.

With the launch of this production line, Tondgouyan Petrochemical Company will supply 28,000 to 30,000 tons of the country's need for this grade for production of black veils annually.

The CEO of the company said the grade would be used by Zagros Yarn Company to produce the textile needed for black veil.
