The achievement was
made possible in a year entitled by the Supreme Leader as the year of
Production Leap and with the efforts exerted by the plant’s experts under international
sanctions on the country.
The previous production
record in the same period belonged to 2017 when the company supplied 161,000
tons of the items during 6 months.
In the last six
months, Mehr Petrochemical Plant has also achieved the lowest ethylene
consumption coefficient (1,022) since the complex's inauguration, which has led
to the production of the lowest tonnage of by-products in recent years. This is
while the plant is designed to consume 1,025 tons of ethylene for production of
every ton of polyethylene.
