Petchem Firms Supporting Endangered Species

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Petrochemical complexes in Bushehr, southern Iran, and Khuzestan, southwestern Iran, are carrying out effective activities in order to fulfill their social responsibilities with the aim of protecting the environment and preserving rare animal species.

The protection of the environment, as an important strategy by petrochemical companies, is of special interest and various measures are being taken to support various animal species.

Likewise, the Iranian Oil Terminals Company and the Petrochemical Storage Company have taken measures to save colonies of parrot fish living near the docks.

Besides, protection of the sand deer in the protected area of Mand is being carried out by Zagros Petrochemical Company.

Moreover, protection of the Jabir deer is another activity of the petrochemical industry, in which Arya Sasol Petrochemical Company is taking measures to save the species. Mobin Petrochemical Company is also trying to save endangered turtles and Noori Petrochemical Company has carried out measures to support Persian Gulf dolphins.

Kavian and Jam Petrochemical Plants are cleaning Naiband coasts.
